Laura Lee is a chiropodist working in private practice in Mississauga ON. She has over 25 years experience working across all health care sectors: community, hospital, and long term care. She is part of two different teams with Trillium Health Partners Interprofessional Wound Clinics, serves on The Michener Institute Chiropody Program Advisory Council, and is a past president of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. Laura Lee has been involved in innovative work with Dr. Sibbald in the Demonstration Project for Community Patients with Lower Leg and Foot Ulcers, and as the chiropody/podiatry lead for the Guyana Diabetes and Footcare Project, as well as the International Collaboration to Develop an Interprofessional Diabetic Foot Center at Tikur Anbessa Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her career has focused primarily on the management of diabetic foot ulcers, and she has presented at conferences locally and internationally. She is a member of the Faculty of the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course at the University of Toronto, and continues to participate in projects with the Toronto Regional Wound Healing Clinic to improve the management and pressure redistribution for foot ulcers. Laura Lee is also a frequent guest speaker on ECHO Ontario Skin and Wound Care.
